Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to and use of Marshall County Criminal History. Visiting a page, reading its content, or submitting a query signifies agreement to the terms below. Anyone who does not accept them must stop using the site.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no affiliation with a local, state, or federal government body. Neither it nor its advertising partners offer a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other Fair Credit Reporting Act purposes. The resource identifies criminal-record channels in Marshall County, Tennessee. It is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This private reference site operates independently of government. It does not store official criminal records and cannot retrieve a file, perform an official check, or submit paperwork for a visitor.

Its function is to identify the Marshall County sheriff, local courts, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Tennessee Sex Offender Registry, and other custodians, while providing access to optional outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use of the site is conditioned on the following restrictions:

  • Do not violate federal, Tennessee, or local law
  • Do not stalk, threaten, or harass a person with information found here
  • Do not use site content for hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions
  • Do not attempt unauthorized access to any system
  • Do not deploy bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools
  • Do not disrupt service or interfere with another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information from the site or a linked service may not be used to harass, stalk, intimidate, threaten, or discriminate. Tennessee law places express limits on use of Tennessee Sex Offender Registry information, and abuse of that data can carry civil or criminal consequences. Registry publication serves public safety awareness and does not authorize vigilante conduct or discriminatory action.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Marshall County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It does not produce background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports. The site and its advertising partners do not provide tools for applicant screening, rental review, insurance rating, or credit decisions. Site or linked-tool data may not be used to:

  • Make an employment decision about a person
  • Evaluate a renter or housing application
  • Set insurance terms or assess creditworthiness
  • Decide eligibility for a permit, license, or government benefit
  • Carry out any other purpose regulated by the FCRA

A lawful FCRA-regulated check must come through the appropriate official or FCRA-compliant provider, not this site.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is not legal advice. General explanations of Marshall County records cannot determine how a charge, conviction, warrant, or expungement rule applies to an individual situation. Consult a licensed Tennessee attorney for advice.

6. No Warranties

All content and functions are provided "as is." No warranty is made that:

  • Information will always be accurate, complete, or current
  • Service will remain available without interruption
  • Pages will contain no defect, bug, or security weakness
  • An outside search provider will return complete or correct results

Criminal records change as charges are filed, dismissed, sealed, or expunged. Gaps and delays can occur. Nothing published here is an official statement from a court, sheriff, or other government agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may lead to law-enforcement offices, courts, Tennessee agencies, legal resources, or outside search services. Those destinations are independently controlled. This site is not responsible for their content, data practices, prices, or availability. Review the destination's terms before use.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Marshall County Criminal History or its content partners. Copying, distribution, modification, or derivative use requires prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site is not liable for damages arising from its use, including reliance on content found here or through a linked service.

10. Indemnification

A user agrees to indemnify and hold the site harmless from claims, actions, or demands resulting from that user's conduct or breach of these terms, including related legal costs.

11. Governing Law

Tennessee law governs these terms. Any dispute connected with site use must be brought in a court located in Tennessee.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised. A new version becomes effective when posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or ended at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions continue. The affected language will be adjusted only as far as necessary to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these terms may be submitted through the Contact page.
